SECTION 24G RETROSPECTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION APPLICATION FOR THE UNLAWFUL EXPANSION OF A WINE CELLAR AND ASSOCIATED EXTERNAL LOADING/CIRCULATION AREA ON THE FARM WARWICK NO. 43, STELLENBOSCH REGISTRATION DIVISION, WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE

Activities that were commenced with without environmental authorisation: Warwick Wine Estate (Pty) Ltd. commenced with the expansion of the wine cellar by ± 1970 m² and the winery external loading/circulation area by ± 2220 m², without first obtaining environmental authorisation. The activities took place between August 2011 and March 2012.
Location: Warwick Wine Estate is located adjacent the R44 Road, which is situated ± 10 km north of Stellenbosch.
Application for retrospective Environmental Authorisation for the following listed activity: Listing Notice (LN) 1 of 2010 (GN No. R. 544): Activity 35 that reads: “The expansion of facilities for agri-industrial purpose outside industrial complexes, where the development footprint of the facility will be increased by 1 000 square metres or more, with the exception of hatcheries, where activity 36 in this Notice applies”.
